Each month, Open World's analytics team compiles key data on token launches and trading volumes across major centralized exchanges. We’re excited to share our June Token Capital Markets Update, highlighting trends in exchange volumes and listings.

We hope that these insights shed some light into the rather opaque listings process and give our clients and partners a unique view on token issuances.

Listing Updates: Month Over Month Overview

June recorded 158 total listings, a ~3% increase compared to May. Primary listings made up ~67% of all listings in June.

Listings held steady compared to the previous week, still staying below the 40 mark.

Exchange Volume Snapshot: Month Over Month Analysis

Trade volumes on major CEXs decreased ~31% overall. All CEXs saw negative growth in June 2025.

LTM Exchange Volume Snapshot: Overview

Global crypto prices continue to drive the pace at which volume accelerates at. Despite a positive trend in BTC’s price action for June, trade volume posted lower figures on the monthly view.

Listing Updates: Overview 

As of month end June 2025, there have been 158 listings across the major exchanges we are tracking. This represents a ~3% increase relative to May which posted 154 listings. Of the majors, OKX, Bitvavo, and Binance are the most selective, listing 4, 5, and 5 tokens respectively. Meanwhile, Gate, Kucoin, and Bitget hold the lion's share of listings by number of tokens listed.

BCOBB Snapshot (Binance, Coinbase, OKX, ByBit, Bitget) 

Of the “Big 5” (BCOBB) exchanges, there were 57 listings in June 2025. 44 of these were primary spot listings, this equates to ~77% of listings being primary. There were 10 tokens cross listed on 2 or more of the “Big 5.” Most notably of these were SAHARA, NEWT, SPK, HOME, RESOLV, LA, and SKATE.

Binance listed 5 tokens in June 2025, all of which were primary listings.

Coinbase listed 9 tokens in June 2025, 3 of which was a primary listings.

OKX listed 4 tokens in June 2025, 3 of which were primary listings.

ByBit listed 11 tokens in June 2025, all of which were primary listings.

Bitget listed 28 tokens in June 2025, 22 of which were primary listings.

BCOBB Snapshot: Valuation Figures

During June 2025, the BCOBB exchanges listed 11 tokens under $100m or less. All CEXs listed tokens within the 3 middle FDV ranges, showing significant interest in the middle market valuation sector. Only Coinbase listed a token in the $2B+ FDV range, which was a secondary uplisting of Ethena.

BCOBB Snapshot: Top Performers

Performance varies wildly between tokens on various exchanges, however very few tokens saw positive growth in June 2025.

Note: Performance is since listing date on each particular exchange. There will be discrepancies between tokens that are cross listed on different exchanges at different times and dates.

Tiered Snapshot: Overview

In June 2025, among all primary listed tokens (excluding stablecoins), AAA-rated tokens increased by ~43%, AA-rated tokens rose by ~8%, while A-rated tokens decreased by ~57% compared to May.

Note: AAA tokens are listed on 2 or more BCOBB exchanges, AA tokens are listed on exactly 1 BCOBB exchange, and A tokens are all other tokens listed on no BCOBB exchanges.

Listing Updates: Listing Days of the Week

With only 3 weekend listings, weekdays continue to dominate listings, with Tuesday being the most popular day of the week to be listed in June 2025.

Listing Updates: Popular Listings

The most popular verticals by listing quantity are L1 Blockchains (23), DeFi (22), and L2 Blockchains (14). In comparison, L1 Blockchains (27), Memecoins (19), and L2 Blockchains (14) dominated listings in May 2025.

Listing Updates: Average Market Cap 

The most popular verticals by average market cap at the time of listing was the gold stablecoin category having the highest average market cap at the time of listing, which was driven by an uplisting of XAUT on Kucoin.
